Optionis got into the festive spirit on Friday 21st December by holding a Christmas-themed fancy dress competition – with a twist.
To raise money for Optionis’ corporate charities, employees were encouraged to dress up in their finest Christmassy outfits and bring their canine friends into work – also wearing their Christmas best. Matching costumes were encouraged, of course.
Prizes were handed out for the best-dressed person and pooch and the money collected from the fundraiser is being split evenly between Liverpool’s Alder Hey Children’s Charity, with the money raised going to towards the new Alder Centre to support bereaved families, and Keech Hospice Care in Luton, which supports children with serious illnesses and their families.
James Lawton-Hill, Marketing Director at Optionis, said: “Alder Hey Children’s Hospice and Keech Hospice Care have been our charities of the year throughout 2018 so it was fantastic to have a festive fundraiser to raise money for both of them.
“Our teams had lots of fun on the day and there were some brilliant costumes on show! As well as providing plenty of festive cheer, this money will help the charities to invest in life-saving medical equipment, offer more support for the families they help, and to continue providing the best care they can.”
