As a Senior Field Sales Manager, you will be aligned with First Freelance, one of our reputable brands, which is one of the UK’s fastest growing contractor accountancy firms.
The Senior Field Sales Manager is a business development and managerial role. It involves developing relationships and networks with recruitment businesses/end hirers/contractor networks for the inclusion of our accountancy, umbrella and tax services for contractors on their Preferred Supplier Lists (PSLs)/Approved Supplier Lists (ASLs). This position also involves managing and overseeing a sales team to ensure daily/weekly/monthly KPIs and targets are met consistently.
The key responsibilities for the role will include, but are not limited to:
All day-to-day functions of managing the sales team to ensure all individuals meet/ exceed KPIs and targets
Ensuring team converts qualified leads to our industry-leading services
Oversee all managerial and HR functions for direct reports
Bringing considered input and high energy to daily sales team meetings
Identifying and targeting directors/decision makers of target recruitment businesses/end hirers/contractor networks (for the inclusion of our services on their PSL/ASL).
Gaining an in-depth understanding of the legislative and tax framework affecting UK contractors, recruitment businesses and end hirers.
Promoting compliance and industry standards throughout the industry/supply chain.
Gaining an in-depth knowledge of the First Freelance services (accountancy, payroll, tax support services for contractors, freelancers and small businesses).
Delivering a high level of daily business development activity (selectively balanced between face to face meetings, phone, email, and LinkedIn).
Delivering monthly face-to-face meeting targets with pre-selected businesses (coffees, lunches and formal meetings).
Presentations, pitches and training to recruitment owners/directors/senior management/consultants.
Generating targeted levels of qualified leads of potential clients (contractors, freelancers, small businesses).
Attending after-hours social/industry functions/events to grow the network.
Converting qualified leads to our industry-leading services.
Generating further client referrals from your existing client base.
Undertaking market research/analysis.
Regular involvement in training.
Representing First Freelance at industry nights/charity events etc.
Proven ability to manage, lead and oversee a high-performing team
Proven sales results meeting/ exceeding sales target and KPIs within the contractor services (or similar) industry
Accountancy, tax and payroll experience is highly preferable
IR35 and other contractor compliance/ tax-related knowledge is highly preferable
Excellent level of literacy, numeracy and communication skills.
Self-starter and motivated to succeed.
Ability to work independently and part of a team and deliver monthly KPI’s/targets.
Ability to deliver a well-considered, focused plan for day/week/month ahead.
Ability to multi-task and prioritise objectives/work according to set/agreed plan.
Well-presented and professional.
