We kickstarted fundraising for Samaritans across our offices in May, with another instalment of the Great Optionis Bake Off.
In a bid to be crowned the star baker of their office, each baker delved into their recipe books and created a range of showstopping delicious goods. Creativity was high with beautifully decorated cupcakes, moist sprinkle cake and a perfectly spiced and sweet Lotus Biscoff cake.
Overcoming tough competition, the winners of the Star Baker accolade for each office were:
- Melissa Harris (Warrington)
- Lauren Milsom and Michael Reghelini (Blackpool)
- Alison Cogger (Reading)
- Dean Lacey (Poole)
- Hannah Hamilton (Edinburgh)
- Warren Strydom (London)
Thanks to the entry fee and generous donations from the team up and down the country, we’re delighted to announce that we raised over £110. Supporting a good cause while eating cake – what a great way to spend an afternoon!
The Optionis Bake off is just one episode in our series of charity challenges to raise money and awareness for Samaritans. Watch this space as there’s plenty of pulse-racing events ahead, including Brew Monday in July!
